Lions:   The lion is used often to symbolise hostile armies or personal enemies. God saved his servant Daniel from certain death by mauling and sharp teeth in the lions' den. Christ is referred to in the Revelation to John as "the lion of the tribe of Judah", which emphasises His kingly majesty and power.
